Overview

The Fort Dodge plant, located on 270 acres less than 100 miles northwest of Des Moines, produces ethanol, distillers grains livestock feed and fuel- and feed-grade corn oil. With original startup in September 2005, the plant was acquired by Valero in April 2009. Valero’s Fort Dodge plant was the first of its design to be built for an original production capacity of 110 million gallons per year. Corn is purchased from within 50 miles.
